QuotQuot für Baumstumpf:

^^ NC Soft will ja keinen Asia-Grinder erschaffen.

What kind of game is Aion?
Aion is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) with strong emphasis on interaction*. It is based on the conflict between the angelic, demonic and draconic races. In Aion, players will be able to experience new and innovative battle sequences, as well as engaging gameplay.

Through his/her actions, users will be able to change the world of Aion and conversely, be affected by it. This type of interaction will enable users to experience the vision of, “Next Cinema.”

*Interaction is the two-way influence between the user and the game world. For example, if a mushroom is collected, the character could turn into a mushroom or absorb it to gain power. Of course, the dropped item’s value (in the case, the mushroom’s value) in the world will also be affected.

Will users be able to choose the character’s sex?
The characters revealed to date were for the previews shown in E3 and G-Star 2006. The user will have the choice between both female and male characters in each class.

Character customization will offer a wide variety of choices: ‘Western’ and ‘Asian’ facial features, hair colour and body type.

What is the ratio between mob hunting and questing?
Aion’s quests can largely be divided into two categories: storytelling quests that explain the world of Aion and short-term quests that would be ideal for users who prefer mob hunting.

The game offers ample opportunities for both mob hunting and questing, leaving the choice up to the user’s preference.

Please explain the Player versus Player (PvP) system.
Aion’s battles are oriented toward PvPvE, meaning that it will involve both PvP and Player versus Environment (PvE) elements; including mobs, quests and raids.

For example, if the draconic race becomes too powerful, the angelic and demonic races could combine efforts to defeat them. Such elements will combine and result in dynamic and exciting gameplay.

The main area in which PvPvE will occur is the Abyss*. Although the Abyss will be a battlefield in the conflict between the angelic and demonic races, it will differ from the sieges of Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC). The ultimate goal will not be the occupation of designated structures. Although specific information is unavailable, there will be ample motivation to gain control of the Abyss.

*The Abyss is the main battlefield for the three races of Aion. It connects the angelic and demonic races and is the location of AionTower.

Please explain the development tool used for Aion (Cry Engine).
Cry Engine was developed by CryTek of Germany, and is effective in creating superior graphics. Its merits were proven in the First Person Shooter (FPS), “Far Cry” by Ubisoft. As time passes in Aion, day and night change as well as weather – affecting elemental skills based on elements such as water or lightening.

Users will be able to enjoy realistic graphics that are at the cusp of video gaming.

Zitat
What do you think of including sounds when a spell or skill is used?
It’s a good suggestion. We will look into it.

Will it be possible to create unique characters of the same class through skills and itemization?

Of course.

When will the demonic race be revealed? What are their characteristics? How far are they from completion?

Currently, the development of the demonic race, including equipment and backdrop, is underway. The specifics of the demonic race will be announced in the future.

Will you be able to enter AionTower, or is it decorative?
Aion Top is an important element of the storyline and a landmark located in the center of the world. More information will be revealed in the future.

Will castle sieges exist in the Abyss?
The Abyss will have its own PvP system, unique to Aion.

Will there be reputation or PvP ranks, as in the World of Warcraft (WoW)?
Although indicators of a character’s activeness are planned, a system unique to Aion will be used.

How does Aion’s aerial flight compare to that of City of Heroes (CoH)?
Aion’s aerial flight will feel smooth and free, in comparison to the more mechanical feel of flight in CoH.
